
A team from the Islamic University of Gaza has signed a cooperation agreement with Muhammadiyah University of Sukabumi in Indonesia. The agreement aims to promote academic and cultural exchange between the two institutions. Prof. Nasser Farhat, the President of the Islamic University, represented the institution, while Dr. Sakti Alamsyah represented the Muhammadiyah University of Sukabumi.
Memorandum of Understanding Content
The MOU includes actions that aim to enhance collaboration between the two universities. Specifically, it encourages student exchange, researcher and academic exchange, workshops, webinars, joint conferences, and other activities to share experiences and research in different fields.

Professor Nasser Farhat was pleased to sign this Memorandum of Understanding since it reflects the academic staff’s desire to expand their international network with various universities around the world. He said, “This step will upgrade the academic level of the university and open avenues for academics and students to explore.”
Drivers of MOU
This cooperation agreement resulted from Mr. Muhammad Al-Kurd’s visit to the Muhammadiyah University of Sukabumi. Mr. Al-Kurd, the coordinator of graduate affairs at the Community Service and Continuing Education Center, attended the international training program for sustainable development. Later, this participation was a significant step toward building networks and raising the educational level of the partner universities.
