Agreements

Islamic University of Gaza has signed 3 collaborative agreements with University of Glasgow- UK, within European Union programme.

Explained as following:

1. Partnership agreement between Islamic University of Gaza and University of Glasgow from 15/10/2016 to 14/10/2019, as a part of  CBHE project entitled "Research Output Management through Open Access Institutional Repositories in Palestinian Higher Education (ROMOR)" funded by  Erasmus plus Programs under Key Action 2

2. Inter Institutional Agreement between Islamic University of Gaza the University of Glasgow  from 1/1/2017 to 1/6/2018, which supports exchange of students and/or staff within Erasmus plus (E+)  program under Key Action 1- Mobility for learners and staff

3. Inter Institutional Agreement between Islamic University of Gaza the University of Glasgow  from 13/9/2018 to 1/7/2019, which supports exchange of students and/or staff within Erasmus plus (E+)  program under Key Action 1- Mobility for learners and staff

The Islamic University of Gaza has signed an  collaborative  agreement An-Najah National University-Palestine . From 15/10/2016  to 14/10/2019, within Erasmus plus (E +)programs under Key Action 2 - Capacity building- under "Improving University Governance at Palestinian Universities(UniGov)"  project.

  The Islamic University of Gaza has signed Collaborative  Agreement  with  Humboldt University of Berlin- Germany    from 25/7/2017 to 25/7/2020,    It supports exchange of students and/or staff within Erasmus plus (E+)  program under Key  Action 1  - Mobility for learners and staff.

The Islamic University of Gaza has signed Collaborative  Agreement  with  University of Barcelona – Spain   from 19/11/2016  to 19/11/2018, Its supports exchange of students and/or staff within Erasmus plus (E+)  program under Key  Action 1 - Mobility for learners and staff

The Islamic University of Gaza has signed Collaborative  Agreement  Aristotle University of Thessaloniki-Greece   from 21/9/2016  to 21/9/2018, It supports exchange of students and/or staff within Erasmus plus (E+)  program under Key  Action 1 - Mobility for learners and staff

·        The Islamic University of Gaza has signed Collaborative  Agreement with University of Algarve –Portugal .from 9/9/2017  to 9/9/2019, It supports exchange of students and/or staff within Erasmus plus (E+)  program under Key  Action 1  - Mobility for learners and staff. In a project involving 5  of Portugal Universities.

The Islamic University of Gaza has signed Collaborative  Agreement with University of Al Nova Lisboa –Portugal . from 9/9/2017to 9/9/2019,

 It supports exchange of students and/or staff within Erasmus plus (E+)  program under Key  Action 1  - Mobility for learners and staff.

 In a project involving  5  of Portugal universities.

1. Islamic University of Gaza has signed Inter-Institutional Agreement with University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro (UTAD), Portugal,  as a part of E + KA107 project (JAMIES), which supports exchange of students and / or staff between Palestinian universities and 5 Portuguese Universities. This agreement is valid form the period from 9/9/2017 to 9/9/2019.

2. Islamic University of Gaza has signed Inter-Institutional Agreement with University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro  also as a part of E + KA107 project (JAMIES), which supports exchange of students and / or staff between Palestinian universities and 5 Portuguese Universities. This agreement is valid form the period from 16/7/2018 to 15/7/2020.

3. Islamic University of Gaza (IUG) and the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro have signed General collaborative Agreement for the period from November 2018 until November  2023. The scope of collaboration on academic and research activities included in this General Agreement encompasses the following categories:

· Research collaboration in the areas of mutual interest to both parties.

· Exchange of teaching, research, administrative, and technical personnel for workshops, seminars, conferences and joint research projects on matters of mutual interest.

· Exchange of students (undergraduate and postgraduate) within integrated study and training programs.

· Organize cooperative conferences, seminars, workshops, and other scientific meetings on matters of mutual interest.

·  Exchange of information and scientific publications.

·  Applying jointly for research and institutional capacity building funds and grants.

The Islamic University of Gaza has signed an collaborative agreement with the University of Graz- Austria. From 12/6/2017  to 12/6/2020, within Appear Program under "Strengthening Higher Education Capacities in Palestine for Gender Equalities" SHE " project.

The Islamic University of Gaza has signed an collaborative agreement with University of Natural Resources and Life Science, Austria. From 1/1/2017  to 1/1/2020, within Appear Program under " Developing maker-movement-inspired training courses on renewable energy sources in the Gaza Strip – Palestine" project.

Islamic university of Gaza-Faculty of Health Science has signed MOU with University of Salford- School of Environment and Life Science.

This Agreement came into force on 2nd  August 2018, and shall remain in force for three (3) years.

The Scope of this agreement:

-      Joint submission of research proposals for funding

-      Exchange of Staff and students

-      External Examiners  for MSc and PhD thesis in Biomedical Sciences

-      Seminars and Joint Publication

Islamic University of Gaza has signed  partnership agreement with University of Siegen-Germany as a part of project entitled" Fostering Entrepreneurship in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math- FESTEM" which will be implemented in the period of 15/10/2017 to 14/10/2020. This project is funded by Erasmus plus Programs- Key Action 2 - Capacity Building in the field of Higher Education.

The project consortium consists of the following partners:

Islamic University of Gaza has signed Memorandum of Understanding with Sağlık Bilimler universitesi (University of Health Sciences)-Turkey in 10.07.2017, which will be valid for 6 years.

Areas of cooperation:

1.      Students, researchers and academics exchange

2.      Collaborative research activities

3.      Exchange of library resources and research publications

4.      Curriculum development

5.      Collaboration with Continuing Education and other training programs

6.      Organization of  lectures, symposia, international meetings, conferences and workshops

7.      Development of Joint and Dual Degree Programs

Islamic University of Gaza- IUG has signed signed Memorandum of Understanding with and Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris- UPSI (Sultan Idris Education University), Malaysia for 3 years, starting from December 2018. The signed MoU endeavors to take necessary step to encourage and promote co-operation in the following areas:

· Exchange of students between the two institutions at both the undergraduate and graduate level either for short-term academic visit or for an academic degree;

· Exchange of faculty, scholars and staff between the two institutions for the purposes of teaching courses, research collaboration, and exchange;

· Development of joint curriculum which will meet each institution’s requirements for an academic degree both at the undergraduate level and the graduate level so that students from one institution can earn two degrees, each from one institution;

·  Research collaboration in the fields with mutual interest between research staff, professors, departments, and schools of both institutions;

·  Exchange and sharing of teaching and academic materials, publications, reference and other pertinent information;

·  Cultural activities

·  Any other areas of co-operation to be mutually agreed upon by the Parties.

Islamic University of Gaza, Palestine has signed two collaborative agreements with Karabuk University, Turkey. These agreements are as the following:

1. Mevlana Exchange Programme Protocol which supports student and academic staff Exchange between the two institutions

2.  Agreement of Understanding Framework for Academic Collaboration for 5 years starting from December 2018.  the modes of cooperation include the following areas:

·   Exchange of scholars

·  Joint research projects

·  Joint teaching and/or supervision of students

·  Joint participation in workshops and/or conference days

·   Student mobility and prospective exchange of students (as may be mutually agreed upon)

Islamic University of Gaza, Palestine has signed two collaborative agreements with Marmara University, Turkey. These agreements are as the following:

1.  Mevlana Exchange Programme Protocol which supports exchange of student and academic staff between the two institutions;

2. Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for 3 years starting from October  2018.  the modes of cooperation include the following areas:

·  Exchange of Students

·  Exchange of faculty members and researchers as well as exchange of technical and administrative staff;

·  Interchange of information and academic publications;

·  Joint development of research projects

·  Joint organization of scientific and cultural events

Islamic University of Gaza-IUG has signed a partnership agreement with Karamanoğlu Mehmetbey  Üniversitesi (KMÜ), Turkey, as a part of Mevlana Exchange Programme Protocol which supports exchange of students and academic staff between both universities. This Protocol has been signed in 18/01/2018 and is effective until the year of 2022.

1. اتفاقية شراكة ضمن برنامج التبادل الثقافي التركي مولانا (Mevlana Exchange Programme)، والذي يدعم تبادل الطلبة والطاقم الأكاديمي والإداري بين الجامعتين

2. توقيع مذكرة تفاهم لتعزيز التعاون الأكاديمي والبحثي المشترك بين الجامعتين و تبلغ مدة سريان مذكرة التفاهم هذه خمس (5) سنوات. تشمل مذكرة التفاهم مجالات التعاون التالية:

1. تبادل أعضاء هيئة التدريس

2. تبادل الطلاب.

3. الأنشطة البحثية المشتركة والمحاضرات والمحاضرات عن طريق التعلم الإلكتروني

4. المشاركة في الندوات والاجتماعات الأكاديمية.

5. المشاركة في تنظيم برامج تدريب قصيرة الأجل .

6. تبادل المواد الأكاديمية المنشورة وغيرها من المعلومات.
