International Credit Mobility

Under International Credit Mobility, a HEI in a Partner Country can send its students or staff to a partner HEI in a Programme Country, and vice versa. Student candidates are able to study abroad
for a limited period of 5 to 12 months for which credits are obtained. After the mobility phase, the students return to their sending institution to complete their studies. Similarly, the staff can spend a teaching and/or
training period abroad for up to 2 months.

The following is a summary of IUG activities in the field of International Mobility:

1.    IUG has participated in about 65 projects of International Credit Mobility- ICM within Erasmus Plus Program, in partnership with 11 European countries. These projects has been carried out in the period between 2015-2023.

2.   IUG has participated in the Turkish Cultural Exchange Program (Mevlana) in partnership with 6 Turkish universities, which are implemented in the period 2013-2020.

3.      IUG has been engaged in six projects within Erasmus Mundus Program, in partnership with 70 local, regional and international universities. This was implemented in the period between 2012 – 2017.
