The Islamic University of Gaza has signed a collaborative agreement with Universitas Muhammadiyah Bangka Belitung in Indonesia, with the aim of enhancing academic partnership and research cooperation between the two institutions. The agreement also encompasses the launch of student and academic exchange programs, fostering a deeper connection between the universities.
The signing ceremony took place in Bangka Belitung, Indonesia, where Professor Dr. Mohammed Musher Amer, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Arts at the Islamic University of Gaza, and Professor Dr. Fadl Allah Sabri, President of Universitas Muhammadiyah Bangka Belitung, Indonesia, signed the agreement. The event was attended by the Deputy Governor of Bangka Belitung Province and the faculty members from Universitas Muhammadiyah Bangka Belitung, its students, and local representatives.

During his speech at the signing ceremony, Dr. Amer emphasized the significance of this agreement as a foundation for cooperation between the Islamic University of Gaza, Universitas Muhammadiyah Bangka Belitung, and Indonesian universities at large. He highlighted the importance of building scholarly, academic, research, and cultural bridges between Palestinian and Indonesian universities, as well as empowering faculty members to deliver lectures, participate in workshops, and engage in other educational activities at the host partner university.
In response, Professor Dr. Fadl Allah Sabri, President of Universitas Muhammadiyah Bangka Belitung, expressed his satisfaction with the signing of this agreement, which aligns with the university’s commitment to global engagement and its enhanced participation in international scientific and academic events and activities. He further highlighted the deep-rooted relations between the Palestinian and Indonesian people, viewing this agreement as a manifestation of unwavering and continuous support and solidarity from the Indonesian people towards the Palestinian people.
It is worth noting that Dr. Amer is currently present at Universitas Muhammadiyah Bangka Belitung, Indonesia, as part of a visiting program that includes a variety of academic, research, and cultural activities.
