IUG TCCM Team at the Heart of Science

Cultural diversity enriches scientific pursuits. IUG records the completion of another academic exchange experience. As part of projects funded by the Al-Maqdisi program, Dr. Faten Abu Shawqa, the Head of the Department of Mathematics in the Faculty of Science and a Professor of Engineering and Complex Analysis at the Islamic University of Gaza, traveled to France to teach and undertake advanced research at Paul Sabatier University.

For Dr. Abu Shawqa, the exchange period was a time of discovery and productivity. Being involved in a new educational system gives considerable insights into the factors contributing to the continuous growth of the institution and inspires unprecedented innovations. The highlight of the visit was that the Palestinian professor prepared an advanced course in mathematics for postgraduates, aiming to enhance their mathematical abilities and employ them in the practical field.

Besides, the Palestinian and French TCCM teams held various seminars to explore a range of joint research points within the project, opening avenues for future collaboration between the two universities. The participants adopted a multidisciplinary approach to the project in order to encourage more interdisciplinary scientific studies conducted by postgraduate students in different domains. By developing their research skills, the students will have more opportunities for higher education scholarships.
