In a recent achievement for academic collaboration, Professor Dr. Tayseer Ibrahim, Dean of the Faculty of Sharia and Law at the Islamic University of Gaza, has successfully concluded an international credit mobility period at Aksaray University in Turkey. This initiative is part of international credit mobility project, funded by the European Erasmus+ program. During his visit, Dr. Ibrahim engaged with the academic figures, including Professor Dr. Necmettin Aydın, the Dean of the Faculty of Islamic Studies at Aksaray University, along with the International Relations team and faculty members from the College of Islamic Sciences.

During his visit, Prof. Ibrahim delivered a presentation, shedding light on the Islamic University’s remarkable achievements, research centers, and faculties. He explored the university’s commitment to international collaborations, particularly focusing on its partnerships with esteemed Turkish universities. Notably, the Islamic University engages in robust international exchange projects with eight Turkish universities, fostering academic and cultural ties between nations. Prof. Ibrahim’s lecture addressed the realities of education in Gaza and Palestine, providing valuable insights to the faculty members of the host college. Moreover, the visit served as a platform for discussions on recent advancements in the academic field, facilitating the exchange of ideas and strategies to bolster academic cooperation and international collaboration between the two institutions.
Beyond academic engagements, the visit encompassed a comprehensive tour of Aksaray University, showcasing its facilities and diverse range of faculties. Additionally, a delightful sightseeing trip enabled participants to immerse themselves in the rich history and notable landmarks of Aksaray city, further fostering cultural exchange and mutual understanding.

Dr. Khaled Al-Halaq, Dean of External Affairs at the Islamic University, praised the valuable contribution of the Sharia and Law Faculty to this exchange program. He emphasized the pivotal role of such international engagements in fostering academic growth, nurturing scholarly pursuits, and enriching the cultural landscape for participating researchers. He further underlined the Islamic University’s commitment to achieving enduring positive outcomes through international collaborations, including strengthening partnerships with allied nations, enhancing the qualifications of faculty members, and fostering a progressive and dynamic environment that seamlessly integrates best practices and encourages collaboration with renowned universities worldwide.
It is noteworthy that since 2015, the Islamic University has actively participated in 65 international exchange projects, providing over 180 invaluable opportunities for students and university staff to engage in transformative academic experiences abroad. By promotion these international ties, the Islamic University strives to create a brighter future for students, faculty, and researchers alike, while making significant contributions to the global academic community.
