A delegation from Islamic University visits University of South-Eastern Norway

As part of the NORPART project, aimed at developing early childhood education in Palestine, an academic delegation from the Islamic University of Gaza and Hebron University visited the University of South-Eastern Norway (USN). The delegation comprised Dr. Sanaa Abu Daqqa, the project coordinator; Dr. Ibrahim Al-Astal, dean of the Faculty of Education; and Dr. Somaya Saima, a member of the project’s advisory committee.

The visit involved various meetings and activities, including discussions with the project teams from the three universities on administrative issues related to the project as well as the Norwegian team’s visit to Palestine during the joint international conference on early childhood, which will be held simultaneously at the Islamic University and Hebron University on May 23–24, 2023. Additionally, scholarship students pursuing their master’s degrees at USN met with the delegation to discuss their future plans. During the visit, the delegation explored the prospects of collaborating further by proposing academic exchange and joint research projects between Norwegian and Palestinian universities. The goal of this collaboration is to develop academic programs and transfer best practices in teaching and administration suitable for the local environment and resources.
