Islamic University of Gaza has won an international exchange project with the University of Granada in Spain, which is one of the leading higher education institutions in the world and the oldest Spanish university, founded in 1531. The project is funded by the European Commission through the Erasmus Plus program.
The activities of these projects revolve around the international exchange of university students to study for a semester, in addition to the academic and administrative staff of the university who will teach or train for a week at the University of Granada. International exchange projects include activities that aim to improve academic performance, increase learning opportunities, boost self-empowerment and self-confidence, increase job opportunities and career development prospects, and improve foreign language skills. They also aim to raise awareness and understanding between cultures and facilitate the transfer and exchange of experiences, cultures, and best practices.
This brings the number of international exchange projects won by the Islamic University this year to six projects with different European universities in Italy, Turkey, and Portugal, which provide several exchange opportunities for university students and staff.
It is worth noting that since the beginning of the program, the Islamic University has been involved in more than 55 international exchange projects, which have provided several opportunities for the exchange of university students and staff.
