Within E+ ICM projects A delegation from the faculties of Osoul Eddin, Sharia and Law completes an exchange period at Mus Alparslan University in Turkey

A delegation from the Faculties of Islamic Foundations (Ussol Edin), Sharia and Law at Islamic University of Gaza completed an international exchange period at Mus Alparslan University in eastern Turkey under the international exchange activities funded by the European Erasmus Plus Program. The delegation included: Prof. Mahmoud Anbar, Professor of Interpretation and the Sciences of the Qur’an; Prof. Ahmed Odeh, Professor of Hadith and its Sciences at the Faculty of Islamic Foundations; Prof. Khaled Alsalibi, Professor of Jurisprudence and Sharia Judiciary; and Prof. Manal Alashi, Professor of Comparative Jurisprudence at the Faculty of Sharia and Law.

The delegation was received by Dr. Yahya Adanier, Coordinator of the Erasmus Office; Prof. Murat Sidr, Dean of the Faculty of Islamic Sciences; Prof. Ulash Chaydash, Vice President of the University, and a number of administrative and academic members of the Faculty of Islamic Sciences at Alparslan University.

The delegation began its visit with an introductory meeting, during which it toured the University of Mus Alparslan and got acquainted with its faculties, facilities, and programs at the bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral levels.

The visiting delegation spoke about the establishment of the Islamic University, the Faculties of Islamic Foundations and Sharia and Law with their various departments and programs, and their affiliated centers such as the Qur’an and Call to Islam Center, the Scientific Miracles of the Holy Qur’an Authority, the Fatwa Department, and the Legal Clinic.

During the visit, the two parties held several meetings and workshops during which they discussed the opportunities for academic exchange offered by the Erasmus Plus programand the possibility for students of the Faculties of Islamic Foundations, Sharia and Law at the Islamic University of Gaza to benefit from them. They also discussed ways to continue joint cooperation between the two parties in the fields of holding conferences, study days, lectures, scientific discussions, research arbitration, and others.

 At the conclusion of the visit, the visiting delegation thanked the Dean of the Faculty of Islamic Sciences at Mus Alparslan University for the warm reception and hospitality and conveyed to him the greetings of the Islamic University’s deans: Dr. Khaled Al-Hallaq, the Dean of External Relations; Dr. Hisham Madi, Deputy Dean of External Relations; Dr. Raed Shaat, the Dean of the Faculty of Islamic Foundations; and Dr. Tayseer Ibrahim, the Dean of the Faculty of Sharia and Law.

Prof. Manal Alashi presented her book “The Impact of Genetic Fingerprinting on Personal Status Issues” to Prof. Murad Sidr, Dean of the Faculty of Islamic Sciences, to enrich the university library. Dr. Yahya Adiner thanked the visiting delegation for their efforts and distributed certificates of participation to its members.
