External Relations, in cooperation with Quality & Development Deanship, launched a training program entitled “Preparation of international project proposals”. The program aims at strengthening IUG staff capacity in taking part in projects based on international partnership with local, regional and European institutions and universities. The program targets more than 40 staff members interested in implementing international projects in their various departments.
In the program opening, Dr. Khaled Alhallaq, Dean of External Affairs, drew attention to the importance of this training program role in promoting the internationalization of the university and its various activities. Dr. Abdelraouf Elmanama, Dean of Quality & Development, clarified that the international projects contribute in enhancing the university’s position, improving the capacity of its academic and administrative staff, and establishing more laboratories. As a result of that, they positively impact the quality of various programs and processes at the university.

The program covers a wide range of topics, including: Reviewing the most important parts of submission forms, building the project idea, setting objectives, preparing budgets, dividing tasks, criteria and measures to be included to improve opportunities of funding, methods of preparing sections relevant to partnership and needs assessments, besides a presentation on some successful experiences in obtaining Erasmus Plus projects.
