Mona Nicolaysen and Marie Skeie, PhD stage researchers from University of South-Eastern Norway (USN) visited IUG under the umbrella of project “Developing Rehabilitation Programs for Teachers of Early Childhood and Lower Primary Stages in Palestine and Norway (Norpal)”.
The two researchers were welcomed by Prof. Ibrahim Alastal, Dean of Faculty of Education, Dr. Basil Alkhodari, Head of Psychology Department, Dr. Khetam Alsahar, Head of Primary Education Department, Dr. Somaya Sayma, Director of Women Studies Center, and Eng. Sherihan Almasri, NorPal project coordinator.

Prof. Alastal appreciated the researchers’ visit to IUG, and informed them about the academic, research, and architectural history of the Islamic University, as well as the faculties and academic programs that IUG offers in bachelor’s, master’s, and PhD degrees.
The visit involved a tour in Faculty of Education, Psychological Counseling Department, game-based treatment room in Psychology Department, Irada Center for Rehabilitation and Professional Training of Persons with Disabilities, and finally the university museum which embodies the university historical, academic, research, and architectural evolvement stages.

The visit also included conducting a Zoom meeting at Women Studies Center between the joint research team of IUG and USN (consisting of Prof. Alastal, Ms. Nicolaysen, Ms. Skeie) and Dr. Anders Davidsen from USN. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the team’s methodology, procedures, and data collection of their research.
