Oxford University Medical Delegation Visits IUG

A delegation from the Oxford university visited the Islamic University of Gaza (IUG) on an invitation from the Faculty of Medicine to participate in teaching some classes in their respective fields and to help transfer clinical skills and medical aspects to IUG medical students.

The delegation was received by professor Nasraddin Almuzini, IUG Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Professor Adel Awadallah, President of the University, Dr. Nazmi Al-Masri, Vice President for External Affairs, and Dr. Fadel Enaim, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine as well as several members of the Faculty of Medicine.

Professor Almuzini welcomed the delegation and praised the cooperation between IUG, and the Faculty of Medicine in particular, and Oxford University, adding that, “we are very pleased with the periodical visits of the Oxford Academic Team to IUG.” Furthermore, professor Awadallah stressed the importance of cooperation between the IUG and Oxford and its great effects on not only IUG’s academic activities but also with the Palestinian health sector.

Oxford Delegation expressed their happiness to visit IUG and pointed out that they are impressed with the standards and the quality of education IUG medical students receive. The delegation praised the Faculty’s efforts in both the academic and professional sides.
