Three IUG Projects Win German-Palestinian Cooperation Grants

Three IUG-based projects from the faculties of Engineering and Science won grants of the German-Palestinian cooperation aimed at encouraging joint scientific research between researchers in Palestine and Germany.

Dr. Mohamed Shabat from the Faculty of Science got funding for his research project, which addresses lighting management based on Nano-solar cell technology.


In the second project, Prof. Shafiq Jundiah, Faculty of Engineering, won funding for his research project on the survey and evaluation of the biological components as manure and waste materials resulting from agricultural production in Palestine in order to invest it as fuel to generate power.

The third project is in collaboration with the Technical University of Munich in Germany, whereby IUG Professor Dr. Hala Alkhozndar, Faculty of Engineering, received funding for her research project dealing with systems of monitoring the status of the power adapters.


IUG Vice President for Research and Graduate Studies Prof. Abdel Raouf Manamah praised the excellence of researchers, especially in the faculties of science and engineering in the university. He also added that these three projects will contribute to strengthening the Islamic University’s relations with the German partner universities and encourage further research and cooperation.
