International Credit Mobility for IUG students with University of Minho within E+

The External Relations Department at the Islamic University of Gaza (IUG) announces the availability of International Credit Mobility Opportunities for IUG Bachelor and Master students  with University of Minho at Portugal under the EU-funded Erasmus Plus Programme – International Credit Mobility Project.

UMOVE(ME) is the UMinho project under ICM 2017, which allows UMinho to receive/send students, teaching and non-teaching staff from/to 27 partner countries outside Europe including.

Mobility details:

–          Mobility Duration: One semester which is 5 months

–          Financial Support:

o   Stay Allowance: 800 ERU/ month

o   Contribution for Travel: 530 ERU.


1.            The applicant should be currently a regular student.

2.            The CGPA of the applicant should not be less than 85% at the date of his/her application.

3.            Good command in  English Language: it is recommended to have one of the following:

·         TOFFEL with minimum score of 470.

·         ILETS with minimum band of 5

·         Level 9 according to AMDIEAST’s system

– If the applicant cannot provide any, he/she should take English Language level test in the Deanship of Community Services and Continuing Education, and his/her score should be 9 at least. 

4.            For Bachelor StudentsThe applicant should have successfully completed 35 credit hours at least, and his/her remaining hours should not be less than 30.

5.            For MA Students: The applicant should have successfully completed 6 credit hours at least, and his/her remaining hours should not be less than 9, excluding the credit hours of complimentary dissertation.

How to Apply for the Project UMOVE(ME)?

– Required Documents:

1.            Copy of the passport (or other identification document);

2.            Curriculum Vitae, using the Europass format;

3.            Certificates of language skills (compulsory, if required by the host institution);

4.            Letter of Motivation (maximum one page), explaining the reasons for the application, specific competences, academic interests, professional experience, commitment to return to the country of origin and benefits that the mobility grant will bring to the candidate and its context;

5.            Proof of registration at IUG;

6.            Transcript of Records;

7.            For master students, Certificate of Qualifications related to the 1st cycle of studies, and

8.            Proposed Learning Agreement: preliminary study plan to be developed at the host institution (available at ), duly signed by the Academic Coordinator of the relevant Department.

Note: The beginning of the mobilities will be February 2018 or September 2018.
