Master Scholarship for Gaza Strip And West Bank in ” Master of Laws”

The Open Society Foundations’ Palestinian Rule of Law (PROL) Program is accepting applications for LL.M. Scholarships. Approximately 5 awards will be available for the 2017-2018 academic year.

LL.M. (MASTER OF LAWS) Scholarships:

PROL LL.M. scholarships provide support for the completion of an LL.M. (Master of Laws) degree. Scholarships will be tenable at select law schools in the United States and the Central European University (CEU) in Budapest, an OSI-affiliated institution providing American-style teaching and U.S.-accredited qualifications.

•         Summer Pre-Academic Program: All LL.M. fellows will attend a pre-academic summer course administered by the Open Society Foundations in July 2017. Attendance costs will be covered by grantees’ scholarships.

•         Scholarship Benefits: University tuition, monthly living stipend (sufficient for a single grantee), travel costs, educational materials, professional development expenses, health insurance, and Fellows’ Conference expenses.

•         Requirements: Applicants should have outstanding relevant academic qualifications (a LL.B. / B.A. in law or other law degree is required), professional aptitude, and leadership potential

Candidates must be normally resident in the West Bank (including East Jerusalem) or Gaza and proficient in spoken and written English and Arabic. Successful applicants must commit to returning to the West Bank or Gaza Strip upon completion of the scholarship.
