IUG hosts Erasmus+ Information Day In Palestine

Under the patronage of the Prime Minister Dr. Rami Hamdallah, The Islamic University hosted, via Video Conference, the National Information Day of Erasmus+ Program to announce for new projects' proposals, offering the public a glimpse bout EU programs through embarking upon virtual experiences have been implemented.

 In the presence of a group of officials from Ramallah: Mr. Tomas Niklasson,  Deputy European Union representative, Prof. Sabri Saidam, Minister of H.E, Prof. Kherieh Rassas, Consultant of the Prime Minister, Prof. Nedal Jayousi, Chair of the national Erasmus office. From IUG, the president Prof. Nasser Farahat accompanied with a host of Chairmen and Deans from Gaza and West Bank as well as representatives of consults alongside a number of researchers and interested students have attended the meeting.

The opening session

Prof. Nickolas opened the day with confirmation that the academic institutions' participation in the national day is a mirror of the great tendency to the Erasmus+ Program, pointing that the program has immeasurably left serious impacts on youths' lives as it has enhanced the scope of research skills.

Moving to the Minister of H.E, Prof. Sabri Saidam appreciated the program's influential role in broadening the horizons of the qualitative partnership between educational and research institutions since it created a distinctive presence of Palestine in the western world. In his word, Prof. Saidam attributed rooting the Palestinian curricula in the international and regional institutions to the great endeavors of H.E. He provoked IUG to push up the scientific research field forward so that can make the curricula brimming of accomplishments, knowledge, and sciences based on the Palestinian issue.

"IUG has a long history of groundbreaking and partnerships' programs and projects' management with the local and international universities. Making enhancements on partnerships' programs leads, in a way or another, to valuable & tangible betterments on the curricula itself, and also on the training programs and foreign relationships." Said the president of IUG, Prof. Nasser Farahat as confirming IUG building role in pushing the educational institutions forward.

Prof. Rasas expressed her glory over attending this day, which it is, as she considered, one of the H.E tools furthering the objectives of institutions' mobility in Palestine.

"the Past years have witnessed immense Upgrowth in the educational system which accomplished through developing new programs needed in the business market, absorbing alumni and supporting entrepreneurs, addressing & mobilizing the educational needs, and bestowing stipends to the Palestinian universities", as she added.

 First session

Dr. Safa Nasserldin, a member of Erasmus Program, moderated this session which Called for proposals. Dr. Nedal Jayousi, NEO Director, deliberately talked about "Capacity building in Higher Education". Continuing the session, Dr. Mohammed Alsubu talked about "National and Regional Priorities", but "Capacity Building in Higher Education (financial Part) was given by Dr. Imad Breik. Whereas Dr. Ahmed Hanieh presented a joint Master Degree, and Dr. Ameer Khaleel from the External Academic Relations Officer at BZU talked about the international Credit Mobility.

Second Session

Dr. Safaa Nasserldin also moderated the second session that was about "Experience in Proposal Application", Also Dr. Mustafa Abu Safa & Dr. Safa Nasserldin presented a scientific paper "Technical Assistance Mission". Where Dr. Momen Sughayyer, Deputy Rector at PPU, mentioned the CBHE role in the Erasmus+ Program.
